How should I prepare for my first Float Therapy treatment?​
-lf it is your first visit to Be Spa, you must check-in at least 20-25 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This is to complete paperwork, receive instructions and recommendations, and shower before your treatment.
-If you are late for check-in, you will NOT be able to participate. All treatments start promptly on a fixed schedule.
-Make sure any new tattoos are fully healed.
-Avoid shaving at least 4 hours prior to your float session.
-Avoid waxing at least 24 hours prior to your float session.
-Avoid tanning prior to your float session and make sure skin is not too sensitive.
-Avoid coloring of your hair within 2 weeks of your float session.
-Avoid any keratin treatments within a few weeks of your float session.
-Cancel your appointment if you are menstruating.
-Remove any makeup, creams, and oils before your float session.
-Avoid caffeine on the day of your appointment.
-Have a snack or small meal a few hours before you float, with at least 30 minutes of digestion time.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
We should have everything you need! Feel free to bring a comb or brush. Most people float in the nude, but you may bring a swimsuit if you prefer.
I'm pregnant. Can I float?
With your physician's approval, the weightlessness of Floating can provide spectacular relief for moms due to the various discomforts of pregnancy. Floating while pregnant is also a very intimate experience with your baby! Many moms can hear their baby's heart beat and feel a deeper connection.
What are some other common contraindications?
Diabetes, kidney disease, heart trouble, epilepsy, seizures, blackouts, allergy to magnesium, bleeding or hemorrhaging, open wounds, motion sickness, incontinence. Always consult your physician.
Can I drown? What happens if I fall asleep?
No. You cannot drown while floating. People often get very relaxed in the pod and occasionally fall asleep.
Is the water clean?
Our multi-disinfection and commercial filtration process performs 10 complete turnovers of the water both before and after each session. This exceeds recommended guidelines for float equipment. We utilize a combination of micron filtration, Ultraviolet Light disinfection, peroxide dosing with oxidation. The heavy concentration of magnesium sulfate also naturally prevents the growth of bacteria and organic contaminants. Our bePods were designed and manufactured with CDC and NSF guidelines for float equipment in mind from the very beginning. Furthermore, all users are required to shower both before and after each treatment making it cleaner than any pool you have ever been in. Don't worry, we are obsessed with water care and take it extremely seriously!
CRYOTHERAPY | FAQ
How should I prepare for my first Whole Body Cryotherapy treatment?​
- If it is your first visit to Be Spa, you must check-in 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This is to complete paperwork, and to receive instructions and recommendations before your treatment. If you are late for check-in, you will need NOT be able to participate. All treatments start promptly on a fixed schedule.
NO MOISTURE ON BODY OR CLOTHING!
-Avoid bathing/showering, applying oils or lotions, and undertaking in activities that will cause you to perspire right before your appointment.
-Remove all jewelry or plastic coming in contact with the skin.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Most men and women wear their underwear (with or without cotton shorts and/or cotton tank top/t-shirt) inside the chamber. We provide a robe and all other protective equipment such as ear muffs, face mask, gloves, shoes, and socks. You may bring your own approved garments as well which is common. You want to make sure there is no moisture or metal on any clothing or garments. We also provide additional garments by request - such as boxers, shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, etc.
I'm pregnant. Can I do cryotherapy?
No. Do not participate in a cryotherapy treatment if you are pregnant.
What are some other common contraindications?
Heart attack within the previous 6 months, use of a pacemaker, heart bypass or valvular disease within the previous 6 months, congestive heart failure, COPD, chronic or acute kidney conditions, epilepsy and seizure disorders, healing disorders, cold allergy with skin reaction to cold, major circulatory dysfunction, use of a intrathecal pain pump or any electro stimulation implant device, open wounds, very dry skin. Always consult your physician.
LED LIGHT THERAPY | FAQ
How should I prepare for my first LED/Red Light Therapy treatment?​
-If it is your first visit to Be Spa, you must check-in at least 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This is to complete paperwork, and to receive instructions and recommendations before your treatment.
-Remove any makeup, creams, and oils before your LED session.
-If you are late for check-in, you will NOT be able to participate. All treatments start promptly on a fixed schedule.
I'm pregnant. Can I do LED/Red Light Therapy?
No. Do not participate in a LED/Red Light Therapy treatment if you are pregnant.
What are some other common contraindications?
A photo-allergy of any kind, sensitivity to light, taking any medication that causes light sensitivity (such as Tetracycline), any eye condition that is vulnerable to damage by light, use of steroids or cortisone injections, healing disorders, open wounds, low blood pressure, use of blood thinners, use of nitrates, active carcinoma, malignant tissue, undergoing chemotherapy, a recent surgery or procedure involving the use of any laser technology. Always consult your physician.

INFRARED SAUNA | FAQ
How often should I do Infrared Sauna?​
How often you use an infrared sauna should be determined by your personal needs and goals. We generally recommend at least one infrared sauna session per week to achieve optimal results. If your goal is to lose weight, we generally recommend at least two infrared sauna treatments per week. Regular use of the infrared sauna will help deliver faster results and noticeable changes.
How many people can occupy a Private Infrared Sauna Suite?
Your private infrared sauna room should comfortably accommodate 1-2 additional guests (2-3 total participants). We only charge $25 for each additional guest. Please ask a rep for assistance.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
We recommend bringing/wearing breathable attire, or comfortable athletic wear – to be worn after your sauna session, as your body will still be perspiring post-sauna as you continue to cool down. Some clients prefer wearing a swimsuit during their session. Some prefer their birthday suit. We should have everything else you need.
How should I prepare for my first Infrared Sauna treatment?​
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Although perspiration and high temperatures are key to your infrared sauna treatment, it is very important to stay hydrated before, during, and after each session. We have a curated selection of healthy, hydrating beverages that may be purchased in the lobby, or we can provide complimentary filtered water. (Each year Be Spa donates a portion of all beverage and merchandise profits to The Jed Foundation, the nation's leading organization dedicated to young adult mental health and suicide prevention). Avoid application of oils, lotions, or other skin products before your visit. We also recommend eating a light to moderate snack, 1 to 2 hours before your sweat therapy session.You must check-in at least 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This is to complete paperwork, receive instructions and recommendations before your treatment, and to take a light shower/rinse before entering the sauna. If you are late for check-in, you will NOT be able to participate. All treatments start promptly on a fixed schedule in consideration of other guests.
I'm pregnant. Can I do Infrared Sauna?
No. Do not participate in an Infrared Sauna treatment if you are pregnant.
What are some other common contraindications?
Individuals with cardiovascular conditions or problems, congestive heart failure, impaired coronary circulation, or those who are taking medications which might affect blood pressure. If you are using any prescription medication, or have an existing medical condition, or using a pacemaker or defibrillator, please consult with your physician. Other contraindications include various chronic conditions including Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors, Lupus, Diabetes with Neuropathy, a recent joint injury (should not be heated for the first 48-72 hours after injury or until the hot and swollen symptoms subside), metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants in the body, pregnancy, being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, elderly people. Always consult your physician.
COLD PLUNGE | FAQ
How often should I plunge?​
Regular cold plunging will help deliver faster results and more significant changes. How often you plunge should be determined by your personal needs and goals. Many people make plunging a part of their daily or weekly routine. We generally recommend at least one ice bath session per week.
How should I prepare for my first Cold Therapy treatment?
​Do not apply any oils, creams, lotions, and makeup prior to arrival. You will take a light shower prior to plunging. If it is your first visit to Be Spa, you must check-in at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This is to complete paperwork, receive instructions, and recommendations before your treatment. If you are late for check-in, you will NOT be able to participate. All treatments start promptly on a fixed schedule.
I'm pregnant. Can I plunge?
No. Do not participate in a Cold Plunge treatment if you are pregnant.
What are some other common contraindications?
Individuals with cardiovascular conditions or problems, extreme sensitivity or insensitivity to cold temperatures, congestive heart failure, impaired coronary circulation, or those who are taking medications which might affect blood pressure. If you are using any prescription medication, are a senior or elderly, or have an existing medical condition, or using a pacemaker or defibrillator, please consult your physician. Other contraindications include, but are not limited to, various chronic conditions including Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors, Raynaud's disease, Lupus, Diabetes with Neuropathy.
